The Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin board of directors appointed dairy farmer Randy Ebert of Algoma, Wis., to serve as the representative for District 10, covering Brown, Kewaunee and Door counties. This appointment follows the resignation of Julie Veldhuis.
Well-known to many farmers in the area, Ebert farms with his wife, Renee, and family in Algoma, where they hosted Wisconsin Farm Technology Days in 2017. Ebert also served on the Kewaunee County Dairy Promotion Committee for many years.
“We’re confident that Randy will be an excellent representative for this district,” says Jeff Strassburg, Wittenburg dairy farmer and Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin board chairman. “His passion for the industry and dairy promotion go hand in hand with the mission of the board and the organization.”
Ebert will serve for the remaining term representing District 10. This seat will be open for election in 2020.
